Edzard' (lower right) and inscribed, numbered and dated 'No.3/'LE PAPILLON ÉGARE'/1962' (on the reverse) oil on canvas 72.5 x 40.2cm (28 9/16 x 15 13/16in). Painted in 1962 PROVENANCE Dominion Gallery, Montreal, no.D7580. Acquired from the above by the present owner. The authenticity of this work has kindly been confirmed by Madame Christine Edzard.

Estimate £1,200-1,600 Oil on original canvas- good untouched condition. slight horizontal stretcher marks showing through dress and need of light clean, otherwise good. Signed D Edzard lower right. In old gitl frame which has one or 2 small losses. No labels or inscription verso. Provenance- deceased estate.
