Cornelis Dusart (Haarlem 1660-1704) The Taste, mezzotint, c. 1690, from a series with allegories of the five senses, on fine laid paper, 24,5 x 18,2 cm, cropped along and within platemarks, inscribed "Quanto porrexit murmure pane. Juvenal 5. Sat." at the lower margin of the plate, Ho. 54, mounted, unframed,(Sch) Provenance: Private collection, Germany. A splendid impression with the text by Juvenal, not listed in Hollstein (Satire 5), in a good condition.
