THOMAS DUDLEY (BRITISH FL.1879-1910), 'YORK MINSTER. THE EAST END', with boy seated on a wall by railings watching a man sweeping the street and three other figures walking beyond, watercolour, titled, signed and dated 1885 lower left, 71cm x 48cm, framed and glazed (condition: age staining visible to sky, especially clouds which have yellowed, there is a fine line diagonal mark across a section of the left hand side of the minster and into the top portion of a window)

Thomas Dudley (1857 - 1935), set of four Victorian historically interesting watercolours depicting views of Hull to include: Wilberforce House - birth place of William Wilberforce, the British politician and famous campaigner against the slave trade, signed and dated 1881, 27.5cm, x 35.5cm. Study of The Old House, Dagger Lane, showing a name board above the window for Rebecca Glen - believed to be Number 10 Dagger Lane, where she traded as a grocer. It appears that the Glen family had been an important one in Dagger Lane, signed and dated 1880 and inscribed, 35cm x 27.5cm. The third a study of a five arch bridge under construction with factories beyond, signed and dated 1881, 27cm x 35cm. The last depicting fishing boats in the harbour, signed and dated 1881, 27cm x 35cm, each in glazed gilt frames Provenance: Believed to have been purchased directly from the artist by Sir Philip Bealby Reckitt (1873-1944) of Hull and thence by family descent
