Set of 12 etchings, publ. Rome, Domenico de' Rossi, later handcol., +/- 38 x 57,5 cm, laid paper 47 x 73,5 cm; engr. inscriptions and numbers. Central fold, some fox., long tear repaired to pl. 9, old traces on verso. Complete set. Plate 1 (title) dated 1692, with dedication to Ranuccio II Farnese, plates 2-12 dated 1693. After the paintings from the designs of Raphaël in the Farnesina Palace, Rome. By the French engraver Nicolas Dorigny (1658-1746), active at Rome between 1690 and 1719. Engr. text from Apuleius' "Golden Ass" by the Italian painter and art historian Giovanni Pietro Bellori (1613-1696). Ref. Berlin Kat. 4066.
