[1924].


Detmold's rarest work and the highlight of any Detmold book collection
. The deluxe edition was limited to 100 copies, each signed by the artist, but apparently the publisher printed more than 100 sets and so bound a few in the deluxe binding but without a limitation leaf, as this copy.

Large 4to, publisher's original gilt-pictorial white cloth, browning, heaviest around borders and spine, tips, edges, and rear cover rubbed, few other small soil marks, top edges trimmed and gilt; illustration for The Wolf and the Goat (final plate) is slightly dampstained, affected by large dark book-shaped stain across mount and opposite page.
