25 tipped-in color plates by Detmold captioned on previous page. Large 4to, publisher's original gilt-pictorial white cloth, browning, heaviest around borders and spine, tips, edges, and rear cover rubbed, few other small soil marks, top edges trimmed and gilt; illustration for The Wolf and the Goat (final plate) is slightly dampstained, affected by large dark book-shaped stain across mount and opposite page.
