Nathaniel Currier (American, 1813-1888) American Country Life, May Morning, F.F. Palmer handcolored lithograph dated 1855 16 3/4 x 23 3/4 inches. Estimate $ 200-400 In overall decent and sturdy condition. Paper may have been cut-down at the top of the sheet, which shows a partial pencil line where it may have been cut. Has not been glued, instead it is mounted with 3 tape hinges along the top edge. Discoloration and foxing in areas, but few if any affect the image. Margin Sizes: Right Margin - 1 3/16" Left Margin - 1 3/16" Bottom Margin - 1 15/16" Top Margin - 1 3/16"

Titled 'The Old Grist Mill' from the 'Winter in the Country' series. Registered in 1854. Measures 9 1/8" height x 13 1/2" width + 1 1/2" mat (23.1cm x 34.3cm + 3.8cm).
