Georges Croegaert (BELGIAN, 1848-1923) High society signed and inscribed 'GEORGES CROEGAERT PARIS' (lower right) oil on panel 13 x 9 3/8 in. (33 x 23.7 cm.) Georges Croegaert studied at the Academy of Antwerp. From 1876 he was active in Paris. His specialties were small female portraits of ladies from the Belle-Epoque. He exhibited from 1882 to 1914 at the Salon de Paris and abroad. Works of Croegaert belong to collections of various international museums.
