Children Asleep in a Garden
Signed and dated "W S Coleman//1897" l.r.
Oil on canvas, 30 x 40 in. (76.2 x 101.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Lined, retouch, subtle canvas deformation.
There are subtle raised areas in the canvas in the lower center,primarily in the area of the children's legs, which may be due tosome disadhesion from the lining. Canvas rippling in the l.l.corner, which would likely be alleviated by keying out thestretcher.

Watercolor and gouache on paper/board, sight size 20 3/4 x 12 in. (52.7 x 30.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Toning, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $2,000-3,000
The toning is visible to the support which is visible only slightly through the pigments, and is fairly subtle. The colors appear to be bright. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no other visible condition issues to report.
