Trimmed on the plate mark with narrow margins all around the borderline. 12. CALLOT, Jacques - La grande Thèse . 1625. Etching and tool engraving, c. 80,3 x 50,5 cm (trimmed to the borderline, laid paper; signed in the plate in the lower right corner. Completely underlaid, 3 tears (repaired) in the lower blank compartment, right lower corner missing (3rd state), sm. wormholes in lower part, 3 sm. tears (repaired) in the upper border. Under passe-partout (soiled) and glass in wooden frame painted in red. Final third state without the text below and the lower right corner of the plate broken away probably by falling. The original copper plate is in the "Musée Lorrain de Nancy". Ref. Lieure 569.
