Private collection, Japan. Literature: M. Rheims, Bernard Buffet, Graveur, 1948-1980, Nice, 1983, p.99, no.73 (drypoint version illustrated). Other Notes: Maurice Garnier has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this work. This work is a tracing made by Buffet of his original drawing, which was used for his drypoint illustrations in the 1952 edition of Les Chants de Maldoror by Comte de Lautréamont, and is not the original work.
