Old reline, canvas still tight but paint dirty with discoloured varnish. Fine but stable craquelure. Original gilt gesso frame in good order with title plaque.

Oil on original canvas with some slight discolouration of the varnish but overall in good order, fine but stable craquelure running through the darker areas of the paint, signature at 3 o'clock, a period lily leaf moulded frame which is now rather battered and repainted gold, remnants of label regarding sitter verso.
