Retouches, minimal peelings and minor crackles. Partly loose mounting between canvas and cardboard causing dents in the canvas.

Edvard Lehmann, b. Copenhagen 1815, d. s.p. 1892 Countess Leonora Christine with two of her chamber maids. Unsigned. Inscribed on the stretcher Edvard Lehmann (partly under a label). Oil on canvas laid on canvas. 30 x 26 cm. Leonora Christina Ulfeldt was the daughter of King Christian IV of Denmark. Minor peelings.

Bernhard Schaaf, 20th century Prospect of Rostock with ships at the dock. Signed and dated Bernhard Schaaf 1910. Oil on canvas. 62 x 99 cm. Provenance: Glücksburg Castle, acquired by the present owner's family at an auction in Schwerin of Queen Alexandrine's childhood home in the late 1940s. Larger crackles. In need of cleaning. Numerous crackles. The canvas needs tightening.

Juan Font Y Vidal, b. Menorca 1811 The Spanish screw frigate "Villa de Madrid" and the Spanish ironclad frigate "Vitoria" on open sea. Signed JFont. Oil on canvas. 31 x 43 cm. Juan Font Y Vidal's paintings are represented in the Museo de Menorca. "Villa de Madrid" was launched 1863 and was scrabbed 1884. "Vitoria" was launched 1865 and was scrabbed 1912. Numerous crackles. Traces from the stretcher. Minor tear in canvas app. 8 mm.

Ole Peter Hansen-Balling, b. Oslo 1823, d. s.p. 1906 King Frederik VII of Denmark on horseback in front of his staff during the First Schleswian War. Signed and dated H. Balling Paris 1854. Oil on canvas. 33 x 40 cm. Ole Peter Hansen-Balling participated himself in the war, where he painted his rare motifs. The present painting is an example on how he finished some of them afterwards.
