PROVENANCE : Sale, Sotheby's London, Michael Appleby sale, 29th November 2000, lot 71 (sold �3,840 including premium) Henry Bocas was born in Dublin and produced engravings, illustrations and watercolours. He was appointed Master of the Landscape and Ornament School of the Royal Dublin Society art school in 1801, a position he held until his death. He had four sons, all of whom became artists.
