Louis de Boullogne the Younger (Paris 1654-1733) A kneeling figure in profile to the left, for an Adoration of the Shepherds black and white chalk on blue paper, lower right corner made up 15½ x 11 5/8 in. (393 x 296 mm.) Lot Notes Possibly related to Louis de Boullogne the Younger's Adoration of Shepherds, painted in 1693 for the Condé, to be hung in the chapel at Chantilly, Comte Caix de Saint-Aymour, Les Boullogne, Paris, 1919, no. 355. A drawing of that subject is in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Rennes, Comte Caix de Saint-Aymour, op. cit., no. 351.

Louis de Boullogne the Younger (1654-1733) The Madonna and Child with inscription 'L. De Boullongne' black and white chalk on brown paper 125/8 x 101/8 in. (320 x 278 mm.) For the group of the Madonna and Child in The Rest of the Flight into Egypt painted for the choir of Notre-Dame in Paris in 1715 and now in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Arras. Two further drawings of angels in the Louvre can be connected to that picture, A. Schnapper and H. Guicharnaud, Louis de Boullogne, Paris, n.d., nos. 49-50.
