authentic work by Boselli (correspondence ofJanuary 2011).
Felice Boselli’’’’’’’’soeuvre is an example of work produced during the golden age ofnorthern Italian still life painting of the 2nd half of the 17thcentury. As a pupil of Michelangelo Nuvolone,
he was quickto concentrate on the genre of still life. He produced his firstworks with his friend,
Angelo Maria Crivelli,
whoalso worked at Nuvolone’’’’’’’’s workshop. He was famous for hishunting and fruit still lifes and enjoyed great popularity with18th-century collectors with the result that his works are to befound in many international museums today.
