Cecil Beaton (British 1904-1980) Petals Ink and watercolour Signed lower right 38 x 53cm (15 x 20 7/8in.) The colour is good.A number of creases to the sheet throughout in particular a fold to the lower left corner and a heavier crease (possibly a small tear, obscured by mount) to the extreme left edge. A small orange blemish to the upper right corner probably occured during the work's conception. Undulation to the sheet throughout under the glaze. There appears to have been a reaction to the black pigment which has caused the surface to become uneven in some areas. Under glass, unexamined out of frame. Otherwise no significant condition issues.
