3 Portraits. 1940/1950's. Gelatin silver print from 1965. Matted. Each 30,4 x 22-25,5cm. Verso of each has two agency stamps and printed paper with details of image. Handling traces.
The photograph dates back to the book description "The Years Between" from 1965.

Gelatin silver print, flush mounted to contemporary card, signed on the mount in red pencil, photographer's stamp verso,
23.5 x 23.5cm (9 1/4 x 9 1/4in)
Provenance: A gift from the photographer to Brian Hammond, owner of Gerry's Club, Soho, 1970s and thence by descent.
Beaton was the only photographer present at the Rothschilds' Proust Ball at the Château de Ferrière where he set up a special studio and dressed himself as Nadar. Taylor wore a couture Valentino dress with a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace entwined in her hair.
