Lot 16 Leonard Baskin (American, 1922-2000) Anatomist , 1952, proof outside of the edition of 15 (Fern & O'Sullivan, 143). Titled, inscribed, and signed "...Artist's proof Baskin" in pencil along the lower margin, identified on a label from the William H. Lane Foundation, Leominster, Massachusetts, affixed to the backing. Woodcut printed in red and black on paper, image size 18 3/4 x 11 in. (47.5 x 28.1 cm), framed. Condition: Cockling, not examined out of frame. Estimate $300-500 Out of the frame the sheet is a fine Japan paper without any hinges, and measures 28 x 18 inches.

Payment Due: Buyer shall communicate with Seller within three (3) days of the completion of the auction. Winning Bid: The highest bidder shall be the buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auction coordinator shall decide the buyer. 9. Reserve Price: Some lots are offered subject to a reserve. A reserve is a confidential minimum price below which such a lot will not be sold. Rogallery.com will act to protect the reserve by bidding through the auctioneer. LEONARD BASKIN. William Morris. Watercolor painting on thick paper. 765x575 mm; 30x22 1/2 inches. With a bold red caption, "William Morris" and Baskin's signature appearing in lower right. Dated 1992 in lower left corner. Estimate $3,000-4,500 Commissioned by Edward Nudelman for his Pre-Raphaelite collection, Baskin reluctantly put the name, "William Morris" in the lower right per Nudelman's request, though complaining he was averse to putting titles on his paintings.
