Private Collection, Connecticut.
Excellent original condition; some variations in surface hue,including to some localized areas of the water and part of a sailat right appear due to either varnish or pigment, but not due torestoration. In water at lower center left - as seen in cataloguephoto - there is a small diagonal surface scratch, whitish in color- this area of the canvas is NOT torn. At part of left most boat(without figures), there is a small area of surface crazing. Partof canvas displays some minor, uneven surface rippling,particularly at upper left.

Lot Condition Report
A student
of Luc-Olivier Merson, his work was nourished by the narrative
genre scenes of everyday village life. He was especially captivated
by scenes of Brittany. Henri Barnoin debuted in the Salon in 1909
with a selection of marine oils and a series of watercolours of
Paris scenes.
