Sale 75 Lot 1361 MAX BAND (Lithuania/ France/ America, 1900-1974). KRISTALLNACHT (NIGHT OF BROKEN GLASS), signed on verso and titled on original stretcher, circa 1938. Oil on canvas - Framed, 46 1/4 in. x 45 in. Estimate $10,000-25,000 Also titled "Kristallnacht" on original stretcher (which has since been replaced with a new stretcher, when the painting was relined and the conservator failed to preserve that portion of the original stretcher).

Canvas isslightly buckled on the stretcher. Scattered light craquelure. Hasbeen cleaned - a little skinned in areas. Old 3 x 3 inch L-shapedtear, repaired, at the lower left center. There does not appear tobe any further restoration. Tiny ding near her eye.
