Martin Aynscomb-Harris b.1937- Fishing boat at sea; gouache, signed, 40.5x53cm. Note: Aynscomb-Harris, who signs his work Aynscomb, was born in Farnham, Surrey. He studied at Wimbledon College of Art 1956-58 and then Hornsea College of Art 1958-9. He held a number of teaching appointments, including Nuneaton School of Art 1961-3, and has for many years lived at Sheerness, Kent. Mixed show appearances included Grafton Gallery in London, Phoenix Gallery Lavenham, Nicholas Treadwell Gallery, Hilton Gallery and abroad in Paris, Montreal, USA, Germany, Italy and Holland. Solo shows included Seen's Gallery, Weitzmann Gallery, Heal's Gallery and Mansard Gallery in London, Kar Gallery of Fine Art Toronto, Woodstock Gallery USA and Forum, Soho N.Y. Royle Publications and Frost & Reed published his work. He is represented in the collections of Oxfordshire Education Committee, Marks & Spencer Ltd, a number of US banks and British Airways amongst others. (may be subject to Droit de Suite)
