Autumn evening in the Tyrol
Oil on canvas, 70,5 x 80,5 cm, framed, undated,
signed lower left.
German landscape painter, he studied at the Academy in Munich,
in Stuttgart and under professor Lippert in Vienna where he came
close to painters joined in Licht-Gruppe . He was influenced by the work of the Impressionist Max
Liebermann. He was active in Zurichu, in the 1950s he taught
painting general Dwight Eisenhower and Sir Winston Churchill.
