Sculpture is accompanied by a period wooden pedestal 68 inches in height, including the bronze.
The artist was active in France and worked in both bronze and marble and is best known for his sculptural reliefs in the Louvre and the Paris Opera House. His allegorical Native American sculptures were modeled in the late 1860’s.
