The artist became Director of Art at Shrewsbury School and the work has label attached to verso inscribed 'Presented to Elizabeth Gill by the Governors of Shrewbury High School in appreciation of her service as Headmistress, 1982-1990'; and one further pen and ink view of Shrewbury School for Girls (2).
