The first statuary works of art were made in 1948. Already at the beginning of the 1950’’s Adrian gave solo exhibitions in Paris. Since 1954 a close relation with the “Wiener Gruppe” had developed and he exchanged ideas with the members. Adrian made literary, plastic and fine arts and additionally he produced several avant-garde films. Together with Peter Kubelka, Ferry Radax and Kurt Kren he was among the first generation of Austrian avant-garde filmmakers. Furthermore, he already dealt with computer art in the 60’’s. In 1965 Adrian took up his studies of cognitive psychology in Vienna. In the same year he was represented beside artists, such as Frank Stella, Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely.
