Zainul Abedin is arguably one of the most renowned artists from Bangladesh. Scenes from the banks of the Brahmaputra river where Abedin spent much of his childhood served as a source of inspiration throughout his career and appear in many of his works. The rustic charm of the country images portrayed in 'Rangamoti' (lot 8) and 'Landscape with Hut' (lot 9) are hallmarks of Abedin's style.
