The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid and the Miami-based non-profit Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO) have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at jointly organizing and presenting cultural projects that contribute to raising general awareness about contemporary art, especially by artists from Latin America, reports Art Daily. The first project under this agreement is the temporary loan of nine photographs, paintings and sculptures by Latin American artists with links to abstraction and the abstract-geometric tradition. This two-year loan includes works by Lygia Clark, Gerardo de Barros, Alberto Greco, German Lorca, José Oiticica Filho, Rubens Teixeira, Victor Vasarely and Franz Weissmann and will soon be exhibited at the Reina Sofía.
