Photographs taken of Marilyn Monroe at the apartment of poet Carl Sandburg in 1961, just nine months before her death, will soon be offered to the public as limited edition prints. The black-and-white images of the starlet at Sandburg’s New York City apartment depict the actress in a short-sleeved dress with thick-rimmed sunglasses, talking and laughing. There are four single images and two triptychs (three-part photos) and each will have 250 copies made for sale. The pictures were snapped by photographer Len Steckler, who was visiting the Pulitzer Prize-winning Sandburg and soon discovered Monroe would be dropping by.(CBC News)
